OVERTIME PAY
How can a salaried manager in the school budget office qualify for overtime pay equivalent to a new teacher’s yearly salary? Many teachers work 10-hour days and then take home papers to grade, yet they don’t qualify for overtime because their position is salaried. Double standard? Yes.
SCHOOL SYSTEM
I know every parent wants their child to do well in school and pass tests, [but] to give a child a grade he/she has not earned does not teach them a thing but to sit back and wait until society comes to them.
